Vikas Khanna's Bungalow, serving an array of Indian dishes that pay homage to the chef's homeland, has amazed foodies around the world. The restaurant has welcomed celebrities from all walks of life. Recently, Vikas reflected on the time when Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan paid a visit to his eatery. On Instagram, the chef shared a picture with SRK and the restaurant staff. Alongside it, Vikas talked about the three most important persons in his life in the caption. He wrote, “My life revolves around 3 people - BK, SK, SRK. My Maa (Bindu Khanna), Sanjeev Kapoor & The King,” further looking back at a lovely meeting with the Bollywood Badshaah at his restaurant. He mentioned, “When SRK visited Bungalow & asked me to sit with him,” and went on heaping praises on the actor. Finally, he concluded by revealing what SRK had to say about his restaurant in New York City. “Today is dedicated to you, Sir (SRK). You holding my hand and saying, ‘Bungalow represents us. Our parents. Our ancestors. Our India.' This is everything to a scared-paranoid-failed child from Amritsar,” stated Vikas. This proved the chef's love for the star and also gave a sneak peek into the lovely evening the latter had over there.
Before this, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas visited Vikas Khanna's Bungalow and dropped glimpses of her culinary explorations over there. On her Instagram stories, the global icon shared snaps from her "date night" with her husband, which was filled with mouth-watering dishes and sweet moments. Atop one of the pictures where she's seen seated with Nick, the chef himself, she wrote, "Thank you, Bungalow, for being an incredible host. And Vikas, thank you for a taste of home.”
Boman Irani, too, paid a visit to the Bungalow along with his wife Zenobia and close friends. After his visit, the actor took to his Instagram and shared a reel that captured Chef Khanna's hospitality and the mouthwatering dishes they savoured over there. The video showed Vikas Khanna personally attending to his guests and introducing them to his creations. Among the huge list of delicious foods on Boman's table, we spotted Banarasi Poori, Yoghurt Kebab wrapped in crispy Kataifi, Lamb Shank Nihari, Amritsari Chole, Fruity Pani Puri and Chicken Biryani, amongst others in the reel.
A feeling of a home on a trip to New York is guaranteed when one visits Vikas Khanna's labour-of-love of a restaurant.
