TV star Shama Sikander, who once essayed the titular role in a popular drama show Ye Meri Life Hai, has more to show than just her fashion sense. Shama was interviewed by Bollywood Bubble, where she welcomed cameras into her plush 4BHK Mumbai home and talked about all the nooks and corners, decor and more of the space she calls home in the city.

The anchor couldn't help but comment on the foreign decoration pieces in the house and quickly asked what is the desi element. To this, Shama Sikander wittily replied that she adds the Indian flavour to her home. Shama always dreamed of having an American-European themed home and what meets the eye is quite like it.
Shama's home has access to a lot of sunlight through walk-in doors and French windows, which are a rarity in Mumbai. The high-rise building and the floor that she lives on also adds to the space being lit. She had an all-white interior and additional decor that added the black and white theme to the interiors. It was inspired by Ralph Lauren's interiors and architecture to put the bits and pieces together. Hence, they picked a wall full of pictures that resonated with their story along with the interiors, chandeliers, staircases, animals, freedom, music and more.
The furniture in Shama's home, including the stonework dining table and the chairs, have been sourced by Shama from China. The rest of the pieces were also handpicked by her over the years on her travels. She got her furnishings imported from abroad when they couldn't be brought back in her luggage.
But not all her décor is purely a global product. The ivory sofa set that adds grandeur to her living space was made to order in India. Even her human sculpture head lamps in white with black shades are handcrafted by an Indian artist.
She added the coffee table books element for decoration as well as because she is a reading buff. Displaying her love for animals, she put up animal photo art on her walls. She even added marble decor pieces from the United States that adorn her tabletops. Mirror work pieces like a tribal-themed white round mirror perched on her wall further add character to her balcony.
Natural elements like flowers and planters also add a fresh vibe to the interiors. The open kitchen is also newly renovated with the latest equipment and pleasing grey cabinets. This was so that the food can be cooked live to create an aromatic experience.
A stroll through Shama Sikander's Mumbai apartment was a sheer interior and décor treat.
