For the last few weeks now, designer Masaba Gupta has been launching her new range of summer clothes in batches of prints - each with a name as intriguing as the other. For each of her prints in her summer collection, Masaba Gupta has a backstory and an inspiration, all of which she has explained eloquently through her captions on Instagram. Amongst all the prints launched, though, Masaba seems to have a favourite - one called the 'Back Splash' print. While Masaba's new range has many new and different prints, Masaba chose to wear the Black Splash abstract wrap shirt and palazzos for a recent award night that she attended. And we have to say, it might just have become our favourite too.
Masaba seems to have paired her outfit with simple pearl earrings, straight sleek hair and nude makeup.
Seems like Masaba isn't the only one who favours the Back Splash print. Shilpa Shetty clearly had her eye set on this print too - and she was quick to follow it up by wearing the same wrap top and palazzo plants to a BBC earth event. Unlike Masaba, who wore her top with one shoulder down, Shilpa wore hers as a wide V-neck top. She tied her hair up in a ponytail and wore a pair of hexagonal gold earrings.
Since the very launch of her career, designer Masaba Gupta has been known for the melange of quirky prints and colours that she brought into the Indian fashion arena. Daughter to equally famous parents, actor Neena Gupta and former West Indies cricket captain Viv Richards, Masaba Gupta, with her enormous talent plus celebrities backing and wearing her designs from the very beginning, faced little struggle breaking into an otherwise hard to please industry.

Sonam Kapoor has to be on top of this list. After all, who can forget Sonam's hand printed saree when Masaba first launched. And the denim saree she wore also from House of Masaba.

Masaba is a favourite with many celebrities and given the current rate at which she's going, we don't think that is about to change any time soon. The ladies of the moment, however, are Shilpa Shetty and Masaba Gupta who wore the same outfit and looked absolutely fabulous. But dare we ask, who wore it better?
