It has been a busy month for Shraddha Kapoor. The actress has two films, Stree and Batti Gul Meter Chalu set for release soon and is hard at work promoting Stree, which releases on August 31. While at it, Shraddha has shifted her personal statement to relaxed fits and unconventional styles which is quite a turnaround from her usual looks. It has resulted in many fashion wins, but not without a few fails.

Her latest look for movie promotions was fortunately, the former. Shraddha wore a black and white printed lehenga set sans dupatta by designer Punit Balana, who recently showcased at Lakme Fashion Week with celebrity showstoppers Radhika Apte and Jim Sarbh. Keeping all eyes on her printed outfit, Shraddha's look was paired with silver oxidized pearl earrings from Motifs, a matching nose pin and her tresses worn in a braided hairstyle. The minimal, pretty look focused our attention on one element of it; the print mixing.

Mixing prints is a risky game to play because one wrong move will have you featured in a worst dressed list wearing an outfit that clashes absurdly. However, Shraddha's look slayed so if you're keen on mixing your prints, pay heed to our fashion tips gathered from the star's outfit.

1. Along with sticking to the achromatic theme of black and white, both of Shraddha's garments are in different colours which makes their pairing more harmonious.

2. The prints on the blouse and skirt are different, which is great. Single prints, even similar looking ones can look more like a set of separates rather than a mix of prints.

3. The pattern of both prints is different. The blouse is more spaced out while the skirt has prints tightly packed together. This allows them to complement each other in the best way possible.

Now go ahead and take a cue from Shraddha on how to mix your prints.
