For any girl, her wedding day is a big deal. Every bride aspires to look her stylish best, and that's why much thought goes into wedding dresses and jewellery. While wearing exquisitely created designer outfits of the season is a dream come true for every to-be-brides, when it comes to jewellery, there are many who turn to their family heirloom collection to feel blessed and carry their family's love with them on the big day. And that includes celebrities too, even a fashion icon like Sonam Kapoor.
The Bollywood actress was seen wearing a gorgeous choker necklace for her mehendi function last evening. Proving how keenly everyone keeps a tab of her style statements, fans were quick to point out that it wasn't the first time she was seen wearing it. The gorgeous choker with uncut diamonds and white pearls is said to have been gifted to Sonam by her mother, Sunita Kapoor.
Sonam had earlier worn the same necklace during one of her red carpet looks at Cannes Film Festival in 2014. She had teamed the choker with a stylish Anamika Khanna net saree-dress in pale pink that had intricate sequin embroidery detail.

For her mehendi function, she took out the necklace again to complement her gorgeous lehenga-choli designed by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla. Keeping with the theme for the night - 'shades of white' - the star looked like a complete stunner in the ivory and gold ensemble. She accessorised her look with statement jhumkas, maang tikka, bangles and her mother's choker necklace.
For her wedding function, Sonam went all out, dressed head to toe in stunning jewellery pieces.
We are waiting to find out what she will be wearing for the grand reception. Perhaps we will see some more family heirloom.
