Mohit Marwah, actor and nephew of Bollywood star Anil Kapoor, is marrying his long-time girlfriend and fashion stylist, Antara Motiwala. The grand wedding is taking place in the luxurious Waldorf Astoria Ras al Khaimah in the UAE. As expected, Mohit Marwah's famous family members make up a large part of the baaraat - Anil Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Sridevi, Sanjay Kapoor along with their families, are all present at this wedding. Watching the pictures emerge on social media is great. Not only do we get a glimpse of this star studded family letting their hair down in full Punjabi style, we also get a glimpse at their 'wedding guest' wardrobes. Can you blame us for waiting with bated breath to get a look at who's wearing what? With the stylish Kapoor family all there and a guest list that is equally stylish, there's no way you can.
As is with most star studded weddings, Manish Malhotra's creations seem to have been a favorite even at this one.
The bride, Antara Motiwala herself, wore Manish Malhotra garments for her mehendi and sangeet. Her custom made pastel chikankari lehenga teamed with floral work and pearls definitely looks like a piece of art. She paired her outfit with a simple neck piece and a floral maang tikka and haath phool. The groom was seen wearing a white kurta jacket set from designer Kunal Rawal.
For the sangeet, Antara picked a soft pink lehenga embellished with gold work. Manish Malhotra labeled this piece as an 'amalgamation of indian art and craft with global fashion influence' on his Instagram caption. With a blouse like that, we couldn't agree more.
Hard to miss in their Manish Malhotra outfits were, of course, Sridevi and her younger daughter Khushi Kapoor. While Sridevi wore a classic white and gold cotton ensemble, Khushi wore a floral pink tube top with a thread and fabric artwork lehenga skirt. Both of them looked nothing short of gorgeous.
Kiara Advani, who co-starred with Mohit Marwah in 2014 film Fugly, also joined the Manish Malhotra pack at the wedding, hashtagged #AntuMoh on Instagram. She wore a bright pink handcrafted Banarasi brocade lehenga from the Manish Malhotra 2018 Brocade collection.
There were also other family members who weren't wearing Manish Malhotra, but managed to stand out. Amongst them were Sonam Kapoor's younger sister Rhea Kapoor and cousin Shanaya Kapoor.
For the mehendi ceremony Rhea wore a mango coloured Anamika Khanna outfit with her very cool 'mehendi sneakers'. Safe to say, she stole the show.
Sanjay Kapoor's daughter Shanaya wore a glittery peach pink outfit for the mehendi. She looked resplendent as she posed with the bride Antara and her cousin Anshula Kapoor.
Proceeding to the sangeet, Rhea pulled out a red and black jacket saree, while Shanaya wore a gold and pink tassel and mirror work lehenga.
For the sangeet, Sridevi stuck to white, but changed her style up by opting for a Faraz Manan couture number.
Sonam Kapoor was late to the party, but we did get a glimpse of her through some of her friends' Instagram stories. Sonam was wearing a black and gold outfit for her cousin's sangeet.
Also spotted at this extravagant affair were actor Athiya Shetty and designer and owner of online retail store perniaspopupshop, Pernia Qureshi.
Athiya wore a signature Banarasi lehenga from Jayanti Reddy while Pernia was seen wearing a floral crop top, skirt and jacket set.
Mohit Marwah and Antara Motiwala's wedding definitely seems to be setting major shaadi and outfit goals. Thanks for the inspiration, guys.
