A day after making a statement with poker straight locks at the 2018 Vogue Beauty Awards, Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha posted a contemplative picture in a completely different hairstyle. While the light is magnificent and so is her ankle tattoo on display, we can't take our eyes off Sonakshi's fringe. Whether it's a new haircut or a clip-on, her fringe is smooth, straight and marvelous; three things every fringed woman envies in the monsoon. We know how to make it happen. Try these 4 hairstyling tips for your fringe to look as good as Sonakshi Sinha's.

1. Wash Always

Even if you aren't washing your hair, make sure that your fringe portion gets a daily wash. Grime and oil is one of its greatest enemies. They make the fringe look greasy and limp. Avoid this by washing your fringe in the sink if necessary.

2. Dry Up

Whether you laze around post a bath or get caught in a sudden shower, wet hair just won't do with a fringe. It needs to be dried immediately, preferably with a blow dryer. However, if that isn't an option, dab with a towel and place it over a hair roller to air dry naturally into a gentle curved shape.

3. Dust On

A fringe hairstyle always looks good with bounce, else it falls flat. If that doesn't come to your hair naturally, dust a root volumizer on the scalp for it to soak up any oils and give the roots a lift. A dry shampoo too can give similar effects at the roots.

4. Choose Well

Before you dry your hair, the right product can ensure it stays free of frizz and fly0aways. Take a bit of smoothening cream or serum, apply it to your fringe and blow dry it forward so that the product doesn't weigh down the hair.
