Ace Indian designer Manish Malhotra unveiled his World Collection: Dubai at the Dubai Fashion Week 2025 on February 6. His spectacular show became the highlight of the evening. But the highlight of the show was the showstopping entry of Brazilian Supermodel Adriana Lima as his closing muse.
The runway legend stunned in a heavily embellished gown featuring Manish Malhotra's signature pearls, sequins and embroidery. The strapless number has a structured silhouette on the top flowing downwards. The gown didn't lack lustre but it could use some sparkle nonetheless. The gown was accessorised. A statement necklace with a pair of matching earrings and a bracelet added to the glitterati. Adriana went for glam makeup alongside a wet, back-brushed hairstyle to complete the look.
Manish Malhotra's designs were a nod to the historical pearl diving in the warm waters of the Arabian Gulf, reported Vogue. Henceforth, the stunning couture worn at his show featured abayas, capes and jackets replete with pearls, sequins and intricate embroideries paired with cat-shaped diamond brooches.
On the runway, we spotted models showcasing the designer's craft. One of the creations was a heavily sequinned golden-hued abaya to attract local audiences.
Next was a model clad in a black piece teamed with a shrug with pearl adornments on the shoulder. A few other pieces featuring the designer's effortless blending with sequins and pearls gave a new dimension to the Middle Eastern fashion arena.
Besides Adriana Lima, supermodel Valery Kaufman Varsano also captivated the eyes of the onlookers. She donned a halter-neck flowy gown embellished with a gradient sequins designs. For accessories, she wore only a pair of stud earrings. Her stylist maximised her beauty with a glam base teamed with a side-parted, open, wet hairdo.
Bollywood friends Karan Johar, Malaika Arora and Rasha Thadani were some of the witnesses to this designer's takeover in Dubai.
