1. Paragon, Kozhikode

This eatery is popular for its biryani and was ranked 11th rank on the list. Other popular dishes at Paragon include the Kozhikode Biryani or the Malabar Biryani, Ghee Rice with meat curry, a whole host of sea-food preparations (prawns, mussels, mackerel, sea-fish), and paper-thin Pathiris as accompaniments to the spicy gravy.

2. Tunday Kababi, Lucknow

The legendary Tunday Kababi in Lucknow grabbed the 12th spot on the list and it is no surprise to see its position on the esteemed list. The melt-in-the-mouth Mutton Tunday Kebabs and Warqi Paranthas are simply iconic. Chicken Masala Curry, Sheermal Roti, and Firni are other popular dishes served here.

3. Peter Cat, Kolkata

Kolkata's Peter Cat made it to the 17th rank on the list. This iconic restaurant is located at the Park Street locality of Kolkata. The famous Chelo Kebab of Peter Cat is the must-try item as vouched by locals.

4. Amrik's Sukhdev Dhaba, Murthal

This go-to spot for Delhiites for crunchy parathas and finger-licking North-Indian food secured the 23rd spot. This famed eatery was founded by Sardar Prakash Singh in 1956 mainly to cater to the needs of truck drivers and is looked after by his sons Amrik Singh and Sukhdev Singh, currently as stated on their website. 5. Mavalli Tiffin Rooms, Bangalore

Mavalli Tiffin Rooms in Bangalore grabbed the 39th rank on the list. This eatery serves authentic South Indian cuisine and its specialities include Rava Idli, Masala Dosa, Chandrahara, Bissibelle Bhat, Khara Bhat, Kesari Bhat, and more.

6. Karim's, New Delhi

Karim's in New Delhi is ranked 87th on the list. The signature dishes at the eatery include Mutton Burra and Mutton Stew. Besides this, there are kebabs, korma, mutton stew, and fresh Indian tandoori rotis. A visit to Delhi is almost incomplete without dining at this historic eating joint. 

7. Ramashray, Mumbai

At 112th rank is Mumbai's popular South Indian joint, Ramashray. Located in the Matunga region in Mumbai, the eatery is always flooded with customers, especially in the early hours on weekends The stand-out menu at Ramshray includes Kadi Idli, Upma Podi, and Fruit Sheera.
