Mayur Bharatbhai is the founder of BL Fabric which specialises in manufacturing ethnic wear for women. According to Mayur, the company creates three types of embroidered lehengas namely, threadwork, zari work and sequin work. But that's not all. The semi-stitched lehengas by BL Fabric are very affordable, making price point their USP. The start-up venture sells its products at a 65 to 70% lower price than traditional markets. Customers can customise the lehengas as per their wish. The ensembles are crafted by a team of 25 in-house artisans. BL Fabrics boasts an impressive collection of about 200 designs.
Mayur launched his garment business in 2021. He worked at his brother's clothing business before that. As of September last year, BL Fabric already achieved a revenue of Rs 5 crore with a net profit margin of 10 percent. Additionally, the company is touted to reach Rs 18 crore by the end of 2025. On Shark Tank India 4, Mayur Bharatbhai earned a joint conditional offer of Rs 1 crore for 5% equity from judges Kunal Bahl and Ritesh Agarwal.
For the show, Mayur Bharatbhai created his own outfit from scratch. He picked out a black faux georgette fabric to design a kurta. Thread embroidery was a prominent feature in the attire. Intricate nature-inspired embellishment in multicoloured shades of blue, pink, green and white served the perfect contrast. Mayur teamed the well-structured kurta with a pair of sleek black trousers.
Mayur Bharatbhai's creations is a step forward to redefine the fashion industry through price.
