Vidya Malavade's social media timeline is a one-stop solution for all kinds of fitness inspiration. The actress, who swears by yoga, loves to motivate her Instagram family with a new asana every day. On Monday, the actress walked down memory lane and re-shared a throwback video on her Instagram Stories. The clip, which was originally posted in April 2020, shows Vidya demonstrating a “30-minute weight loss and strength building” asana. The video begins with Vidya positioned in Utkata Konasana which is also called the Goddess Pose. While staying in the same position, the actress suggested pushing the tailbone forward. Giving the Goddess Pose a little twist, she turns back to stretch the spine. She repeats the process on the other side as well. Apart from giving a nice stretch to the back, the Goddess Pose helps in improving balance and coordination. In addition, it also strengthens the legs, glutes, pelvic floor, core, and shoulders. Stimulating digestion and promoting relaxation are other benefits. Sharing the clip, Vidya wrote, “30 minutes Weight loss, strength building practice…”

Vidya Malavade recently inspired her Instagram family by demonstrating a perfect variation of asanas that included "Garudasana to Parshvabakasna/Side Crow Pose”. The video begins with her taking the Garudasana position and then swiftly transforming to the Side Crow Pose. Vidya shared the clip along with a note, wherein she also mentioned a pro tip for beginners. The actress wrote, “Garudasana to Parshvabakasna/Side Crow Pose. (Pro-tip for beginners - hook the elbow & forearm in the hip socket of the low leg...so it becomes like a kickstand... easier to balance)…Let's try & keep the judgment away...& see it for what it is...a home practice!”

Earlier, this month Vidya Malavade also taught her Instagram users multiple variations of spinal twists. Demonstrating the same, she shared a clip that also included variations for beginners, intermediate and advanced fitness enthusiasts. Check out her clip here:

We also caught her giving a twist to the Bridge Pose. Also called Setu Bandhasana, Bridge Pose strengthens the lower back, calms the nervous system and increases blood circulation in the body.
