Twinkle Khanna Proves That There's No Getting Over Slit Dresses

When it's about making a show stopping appearance, a style pick that never seems to go wrong is a bold slit dress. From international red carpet events to Bollywood parties, celebs have time and again shown us how to steal all attention by nailing thigh high slits. While we had almost forgotten about the classic style, it is a Bollywood celeb who is making us crush on it all over again - Twinkle Khanna. To ring in her husband Akshay Kumar's 51st birthday on Saturday night, Twinkle turned up looking gorgeous as ever in a slit dress.

Well, Saturday nights are meant for letting one's hair down and partying, and if it also happens to be your special someone's birthday celebration, you have all the reasons to glam up and look your stylish best. Twinkle, who is considered to be one of the original style mavens in B-town, notched up her style game in a black shirt-style maxi dress. What added oomph to the simple dress was the thigh high slit, which Twinkle carried it off like a pro. With dazzling accessories - a pair of gold stilettos from Jimmy Choo, an envelope clutch and a chic gold bracelet from Giuseppe Zanotti - Twinkle instantly set style goals for weekend dressing.

This isn't the first time when Twinkle has made a chic style statement in a bold slit dress. Last year, during her sister Rinke Khanna's birthday party, Twinkle had again rocked a black maxi dress with a thigh-high slit that she had teamed with metallic sandals.
