There's another side to Urvashi Rautela that not many may know about. While the actress is best known for her glitzy ensembles and designer looks, little does anyone know that Urvashi turns to nature for beauty remedies and wellness fixes. Her latest Instagram post gives us a peek into her favourite treatment i.e. the mud bath. In the picture, Urvashi is seen slathered in mud from head to toe while carefully going around her eyes and lips. Seated on a stool under the sun, Urvashi is soaking in all the rich mineral goodness like it's no one's business. Amazingly enough, it's a common love that she shares with Cleopatra! It is believed that the Egyptian queen used black mud from the Dead Sea as an exfoliator for radiant skin. Urvashi said in her caption, "Cleopatra was an early lover of a mud bath, while modern fans includes me. Enjoying the red mud of a Balearic beach. Its said to have been used as a mirror by Venus, the Roman goddess of love. Its mineral-rich mud is considered therapeutic and good for skin. Mud really can be a muddy marvel. Covered in healing mud therapeutic Mud Baths are still heralded today for their ability to detoxify and draw out impurities, soften skin, improve circulation, and ease aches and pains."

Earlier this summer, Urvashi turned to mud once before and it was to beat the heat. Mud therapy found its way into her wellness routine when she posted photos of a mud pack wrapped in a towel on her abdomen. In her caption, Urvashi wrote "Mud therapy on my abdomen helps in absorbing the intestinal heat, boosting metabolism and strengthening the associated organs. Love mud therapy." Termed as mitti chikitsa, mud therapy is also an Ayurvedic wellness and beauty treatment that is used to cool the body, draw out impurities and bring relief from gastrointestinal issues.

Urvashi also extolled the benefits of barley for her body. In a previous photo while upping her glass that was filled to the brim, she wrote, "Barley water ranks high in the category of healthy beverages. It is loaded with fiber, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Regular usage of barley water helps flush out toxins from the body."
