With the amount of hype that has been created around the release of Veere Di Wedding tomorrow, there is not one person who wouldn't have ventured a guess into what the movie is going to be all about. We have already talked about how it is possibly going to be a Sex & The City like story. Hell, we think it is totally going to be like Sex & The City: The Movie; what with the whole wedding being called off, and the subsequent vacation with the friends. But whatever might be the storyline, there are a few things we are sure that the movie will address, just by watching the movie snippets posted online. Here is a sneak peek of the sneak peeks.
Arranged Marriage
Looks like Sonam Kapoor's character, Avni, is all set to consider marrying a guy she has never met before. Why? Oh just the whole pressure of being someone's wife. You know, the usual. But how she goes about it and if she even does go ahead with it, is something we can't wait to watch. Millennials are not that into the concept of arranged marriages anymore. We prefer having the choice, finding someone WE have chosen to be with. But I am sure VDW will address that whole thing with a tang. Also, Charlotte, anyone?
The Quintessential Saas vs The Apprehensive Bahu To Be
We all know that one girl who is freedom personified; she loves a relationship but she is an independent soul who loves her space. And that is something a lot of Indian mothers don't quite understand. And largely, its the mother-in-laws who have an issue dealing with a free spirited girl. Kalindi (Kareena Kapoor) seems to be facing just those kind of problems - the one of never wanting to be a daughter, but always a bahu.
Sex Before Marriage
While Swara Bhasker's character, Sakshi, seems to be that loud and proud, in your face, embracing-your-sexuality-kinda-girl, Avni seems like she is torn between being sexually active before marriage and finding the right man. And we all know someone who has been there. Hell, some of are still there. Problems, problems.
Whatever the movies brings to the screen, we all know that the producers, the actors, and the whole VDW team has left no stone unturned to make sure that the entire country is intrigued enough to go watch it. Well, one night to go!
