If you are a fashion enthusiast, you must know that #vocalforlocalindia is an initiative to support the local artisans and weavers in textile industries. Various weaving styles and crafts are involved in creating garments, which constitute the fashion industry. Bollywood stars have been making a case for handloom pieces more than anything. One among them is B-Town's queen of grace and style Vidya Balan, who is showing great support for local artisans and weavers with her series of posts in handloom outfits.
Recently, Vidya Balan took to her social media and posted a picture looking elegant as always in a saree designed by Shivani Bhargava. It was a beautiful saree in "a true form of art on textiles where the handwoven chanderi is painted with watercolours." You can see pastel pink and green shaded prints all over. The borders are embellished with white lace detailing and the blouse is in matching prints.

To support #vocalforlocalindia, Vidya Balan opted for a stunning kalidar kurta from Saundh, which featured mustard and black shaded prints. The actress wrote "The kalidar is printed with natural dye on silk. Since natural dyes come from limited sources, the colours usually are in the same family. #vocalforlocal means that it's ok to repeat a colour, silhouette or even outfit."

A couple of days back, Vidya Balan sported a cotton anghrakha suit in off-white and blue designed by Shireen Shahana. The suit was "paired with classic natural indigo block print and hand trims." If #vocalforlocal is the motto, then what can be better than block prints in a cotton material in summer days?
