Virgil Abloh took his next big step in the fashion industry yesterday by showcasing his very first collection for Louis Vuitton at Paris men's fashion week. The fashion show, that was held in Palais- Royale gardens in Paris, has been one of the most anticipated shows by fashion enthusiasts everywhere. Virgil Abloh, for many, is the beacon of a kind of creativity in the fashion industry that is diverse and inclusive. His first collection and show as artistic director of Louis Vuitton's men's wear collection portrayed just that. The 56 look collection that Virgil called 'Colour Theory' was a melange of ideas morphed together to build a covetable collection diverse in its nature and form. The prismatic runway (reportedly 2 1/2 times larger than a football field) included every colour of the rainbow. The effect that Virgil wanted to create was completed with design school students who were invited to watch the show wearing color coordinating t-shirts that they were given as invites.

Virgil also added show notes on the seats that included a world diagram with the birthplace of the models and the birthplace of their parents. On a post shared on Instagram, Virgil explained "essential to my show concept is a global view on diversity linked to the travel dna of the brand. the studio creates these show notes. we created this world diagram on the seats that shows models birthplace, and the birthplace of their parents. issue #1 also located on each seat. my dictionary of terms included as well."

Virgil's show was, unsurprisingly, a star studded event. Most prominent were, of course, close friends of the designers - the Kardashian/Wests. Kim Kardashian along with her husband and rapper Kanye West attended the show looking as stylish as ever. While Kanye was dressed in Yeezy, head to toe, Kim was styled in a mini blue trench dress from Louis Vuitton.

Virgil's fresh perspective, that we first saw with this own fashion house, Off-White, captures the millennial zeitgeist perfectly. Here's hoping he continues to diversify the realm of fashion with this innovative and imaginative style.
