In our everyday fast-paced lives, there are so many creators around us hustling to make a life, not just a living. Their stories can't be limited within a medium. In a world that aspires to watch from the front row, all we need is to lend us an ear, and listen. 'On a journey' with WeWork is the recently launched podcast series which brings to the audience stories of growth, of ideas, of change.
The first season of the podcast, 'Locally Sourced' takes you on the successful journey of homegrown Indian brands. This includes the much awaited 'chai break' with the founder of Chai Point to the establishment of global pop-shop by Pernia Qureshi, popular Indian fashion entrepreneur or a social experiment by Impresario, catering to the changing dining habit of young India, and many more. After receiving an overwhelming response on the first season, WeWork launched the second season of the podcast 'The sports edit', where the host Vineet Singh, Head of Brand and Marketing at WeWork India speaks to some of the most inspiring individuals from the world of sports.
As truly said, the life of a creator is made in the choices they make on their journey. The little battles they champion on their ride from the gully to the pitch, from the slip to the slam dunk, from the wheelchair to the race track. From the market field to the sports rink, 'The sports edit' is a tribute to the players, to the coaches, the sponsors, the advertisers, the leaders, the viewers, the gamers, and the champions who make the world of sports the biggest community there is in the world.
The series kick-started with the first episode with Charu Sharma, the iconic name from the world of Cricket who has elevated the experience of watching Cricket for every enthusiast with his voice for decades. He further talks about his entrepreneurial journey as the Founder of the Pro Kabaddi League. The list only gets better with powerful names from the world of sport such as Rohit Bopanna, international tennis player, Fouad Mirza, Indian Equestrian who has already won a double medal at the Asian Games, an Arjuna Award and is the third Indian to have qualified for Tokyo Olympics in 2020. Giving the series a wholesome experience, includes Prasana Krishnan, Co-founder of FanCode, who spoke about sports broadcasting in the country, Abhishek Ganguly, MD Puma India, on his journey of making Puma the #1 sports brand in India and Scott Levy, Executive VP and Managing Director at NBA Asia talking about the efforts the federation is making to nurture the game in India, from cities to the grassroots level.
