Every season is wedding season. There's little ambiguity left in that sentence, don't you think? Gone are the days when weddings in India were limited to winter time, lest the wedding party be caught in the sweltering heat the Indian summer brings with it. If you don't believe us, we urge you to turn to some of your favourite Bollywood stars (right from Sonam Kapoor to Alia Bhatt), who seem to very much be a part of the 'serial wedding guest' bandwagon. But we can hardly say we're complaining, given that that's also where we get a lot of our wedding guest style inspiration from.
Only last week, actress Tabu attended the wedding reception of Sidhant Kapoor (late veteran singer Mahendra Kapoor's grandson) in Mumbai. While Tabu isn't usually making headlines for the way she styles herself, we couldn't help but admire her simple and minimalistic wedding guest style. Tabu opted for a peach ensemble from designer duo Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla and teamed her embroidered anarkali with a pair of jhumkas.

Swara Bhasker who is soon going to be seen in the upcoming film Veere Di Wedding is currently attending her real life Veere di wedding as she's been calling it on social media. Swara's brother is currently getting married and as sister of the groom, Swara seems to be enjoying the wedding thoroughly. But of course, even in all the madness, Swara, just like most of us, didn't forget to pay attention to what she was going to wear - and then share it with us. In a post on social media, Swara revealed that she was wearing a custom made outfit designed and styled by Rupa Chourasia for the baraat.
Sonam Kapoor and Alia Bhatt also recently attended weddings, and their outfits, as always, had us drooling. While Sonam chose to wear a black and maroon garment with gold zari work for her cousins wedding, Alia wore a glittering silver lehenga for her best friends wedding.
Deepika Padukone also attended her childhood friend's wedding a few months ago - and much like Tabu, Deepika kept her style absolutely minimalistic too. She chose to wear a pink Banarasi saree with gold jewellery that she then also repeated and wore for the HT Style awards.
Weddings are now taking place through the year depending on when one is available and able to take time off work. But what we love is that most people, yes, even celebrities are opting for simple garments with minimal work on them no matter when or where the wedding is.
This is a trend we could definitely catch on to. What about you?
