Signs That Show You Aren't Sleeping Enough

1. No Energy

A restless night can make you feel tired and low on energy. This is because of the lack of sleep. Even regular and simple tasks may feel monumental. If you are relying on frequent caffeine intake during the day to keep you awake, it may be the reason for keeping you up at night.

2. Difficult To Concentrate

One of the most common signs of less sleep is that it may adversely affect your memory. When you are sleep deprived, it may feel hard to focus or pay attention to the task at hand.

3. Increased Dependency On Caffeine

It may be a common practice to use tea, coffee, or energy drinks which all contain amounts of caffeine in it. This means that you are not getting enough sleep during the night, which makes you want to have these drinks to keep yourself awake during the day.

4. Getting Mood Swings

If you do not get enough sleep during the day, you may get irritable and have mood swings. It is also believed that those people who get less sleep consistently get stressed, exhausted, and feel angry too. These feelings may also have an adverse impact on your emotional health.

5. Skin Problems

One of the common signs of not getting enough sleep is breakouts. When the body is tired, it releases stress hormones which can increase inflammation and oil production causing more breakouts. Dark circles and puffy eyes are other concerns that may arise due to lack of adequate sleep.

6. Increased Weight

There is a direct correlation between lack of sleep and weight gain. If you sleep less, you are more likely to eat unhealthy food and crave junk. As a result, you may eat more which may hurt your metabolism causing you to gain weight.

So if you are facing any of these, then it is time to course correct by getting a good night's sleep.
