Like every other award ceremony, the American Music Awards red carpet was full of glitz and glamour. Red carpets have a tendency to make us just keep checking our snapchat stories for behind the scenes and then religiously stalking our favourite celebrities' Instagram handles to see what they're wearing. We want drama, we want some crazy innovation and we definitely want a lot of glam. So here's a roundup of what the celebrities wore at the AMAs this year.
1. Selena Gomez
Selena Gomez walked the red carpet in head to toe Coach, a black leather-jacket inspired minidress and a pair of pointed pumps with a clutch. She surprised us with her newly done blond-ish hair which, by the way, looks amazing. She sparkled in a pair of diamond earrings from Roberto Coin. The dress or jacket, whatever you want to call it, looks utterly fabulous and completely goes with this rebel phase she seems to be going through. Final verdict? We want this Coach dress!
2. Pink
Oh we all love Pink, don't we. From her songs to her take on girl power, she's a total rock-chic. Wearing a Monique Lhuillier ruffled gown which is totally channeling the 50s and the pastel pink hair is totally channelling her grunginess. We love!
3. Tracee Ellis Ross
Tracee's red carpet style has really evolved, we must say. A Stella Mccartney customised sequin gown with a sheer back. What we really love is the turtleneck. She really knows how to work this dress like a boss.
4. Demi Lovato
Demi Lovato looks as flawless as ever in an Ester Abner black tulle gown with a skin colour inner. The drapes and the figure hugging gown really bring out her curves beautifully!
5. Kelly Clarkson
That blood red lipstick with golden sequins running along her curves in this custom Christian Siriano - she looks sizzling! With her sleek hair and her smile on fleek, we're loving everything that's happening in this look.
6. Hailee Steinfeld
D-Y-I-N-G! We knew power suits are a rage right now, but never thought they could look this sexy! That bustier cum bralette, those power shoulders, metallic nails and slicked wet hair, she's on fire. Wish we could carry an outfit like that - we swear we wouldn't ever take it off!
7. Kelly Rowland
It's true that Kelly Rowland can never make a mistake. The play of sheer sleeves and a thigh high slit is what glam looks like. In a Galia Lahav velvet gown, we wish we were Kelly Rowland (Ohh please let this wish come true!).
8. Ciara
A queen can do no wrong, and Ciara proves that to us. Who said your boots need to be over the knee?
9. Ashlee Simpson
This Christian Siriano disco gown makes us want to dance. Ashlee Simpson did well, even with the over the top jewellery! There's something that's just right about it.
10. Madelaine Petsch
Cheryl, aka Madeleine in a midi sheer black dress with feathers everywhere. Never thought we would approve of feathers on a dress, but Madelaine just works it.
