Ananya's yoga instructor Anshuka Parwani shared a picture on her Instagram Stories of how Ananya was practicing Trataka. In the snap, the actress was seen sitting in front of a candle inside a dimly lit room with a side note reading, “Ananya Panday practicing the Trataka meditation. Focus, stillness, clarity.”

Trataka Meditation 

Trataka is a meditation technique forming one of the six purification practices, known as shatkarmas, in Hatha yoga. In Sanskrit, Trataka means “to gaze.” The practice requires a person to concentrate on a single point of focus. The burning flame of a candle works the best, as demonstrated by Ananya Panday. However, one can also choose to focus on other objects like a mountain, flower, the rising sun or moon, a deity or simply a dot on the wall. This type of meditation enhances concentration and mental clarity.
