The internet is going mad over the gown that Deepika Padukone wore to the Lux Golden Rose Awards. Last night, she was seen wearing a Monisha Jaising deep plunge, thigh-high slit golden gown and she has been since then, trolled, left, right and centre. While we agree with the internet this time around, people don't seem to be letting go of this mistake easily. She has been looking absolutely stunning for the Padmavati promotions - but this time, Deepika, really disappointed us. Her stylist, Shaleena Nathani took the event rather seriously and dressed her head-to-toe in gold.
The internet has taken to trolling Shaleena more than even Deepika, saying all sorts of nasty things like, ''While other actresses have other stylists who enhance their looks, Deepika has one that is hell-bent on making her look worse."

The internet has shown it's clear disapproval of this look, by calling Deepika things like 'Ferrero Rocher' and 'Twix'.

She's even been compared to a curtain, "Horrendous to say the least. Seriously even my nan's curtains would make for a better outfit for Deepika than the stuff you put together."

We hate to admit it, but to a certain extent, even we agree. One even wrote, "This is really funny! I couldn't stop myself from commenting on this look. Looks as if she has literally gift wrapped herself for Ranveer Singh."

Wouldn't we love that, though? Though Shaleena has been doing a fabulous job with the Padmavati promotions, she really does have to up her game when it comes to Deepika's red carpet looks. We've seen similar silhouettes on Deepika before. From the colour to the thigh-high slits, we've seen it all before. Shaleena, give us something new.
She wore a metallic Ralph & Russo gown last year for the same awards, which looked exactly like this - except the added statement sleeves this year. She wore a gold sequins gown by Naeem Khan for the xXx 3 premiere in Mumbai. She also wore a similar gown to the EMA's by Monisha Jaising.
We love you Shaleena and Deepika, but it's time to switch it up a bit.
