Zendaya is the gift that keeps on giving. And when we know she's attending a red carpet, it's practically Christmas eve for fashionistas. That was the case when the Hollywood A-lister attended the 2021 Ballon d'Or Awards last night. With beau Tom Holland accompanying her, Zendaya didn't disappoint when it came to making a style statement on the red carpet. She picked a stunning black gown by Roberto Cavalli for the awards function which, from the front looked like a modest black gown with a high neckline and quarter sleeves which reach the ankle. But the magic happens at the back, you see.

Once Zendaya turned, it revealed a backless detail that resembled a spinal cord made of gold. The jewellery detail at the back is a reference to Doctor Octopus from the Spiderman universe, which she stars in.

Truly, it was unlike anything we've seen before and we can only expect that from Zendaya. She matched the metallic detail with chunky gold hoop earrings and kept the rest of the outfit muted with a sleek updo and pointed pumps.

With Zendaya by his side, you couldn't expect Tom Holland to miss a step in his style game either. The Spiderman: No Way Home actor kept it sharp in a black suit with a white shirt and black bow-tie. He also added thick framed spectacles to the dapper outfit he was in.
