Someone said it right that no one knows it all, everyday we learn a new lesson. Miss World Manushi Chhillar, who has been busy travelling around the world for her 'Beauty with a Purpose' tour, was back in town and recently shared her experience of learning an important life lesson from a young flower seller. Who said only the old are wise? She met Mahesh, her new friend, while he was busy selling roses, which she found out was to make up for his tuition fees.

She got chatting with him, when he revealed that of all the subjects in school, he only liked Maths and English. She then went on to test him, and despite his frown, he answered all her questions as a good student. But Manushi didn't just leave it there. She went on to find out about the remaining balance for the tuition fees that he was yet to make. After much calculation, the figure was revealed to her, and she offered to pay him the amount for his education and asked him to go home and gift the flowers to his mother.

But to her surprise (and ours too) he firmly refused, as he also did when she offered him ice cream because he wanted a flat belly to be able to play football. His reason for refusing the money, which no doubt would have made life a little easier for him, was a lesson that his mother had taught him - it was to never accept money for free and instead work hard for it.

It is indeed touching to see that at such a young age he holds education as a priority in his life, and through his own capabilities is trying to overcome all hurdles to make it happen without help from anyone else, even the Miss World. Him refusing ice cream is another example of his dedication to things that are important in his life. We agree with Manushi Chhillar as she rightly said, "So much to learn from someone so young!"
