
May 13 marks World Cocktail Day, which is celebrated across the globe with of course a lot of fervour. If you thought that it was just a random day picked to celebrate cocktails, not that we mind that, you are in for a surprise. On their official website, it mentions that May 13 marks "the publication date of the first definition of a cocktail on May 13th in 1806." Now that's saying something, isn't it? So while you are staying home quarantined, how about beating the summer heat and enjoying refreshing cocktails? We bring you a list of six cocktails from the experts that you will absolutely love.
Gin Cocktails
These gin cocktails are from the house of Pernod Ricard, with Beefeater dry gin as the base.
1. Beefeater Collins
Glass: Collins/ High ball

Method:
Shake the gin, lime and sugar syrup in a shaker with ice.
Strain into the chilled Collins glass filled with ice and a lemon peel spiral.
Top with soda.
Garnish with a lemon wedge incase you can't make a spiral peel.
2. Beefeater Snapper
Glass: High ball/ Collins

Method:
Shake all the ingredients in a shaker. Pour into a tall glass. Garnish with celery, the pickle green olives and lemon.
3. Beefeater Passion-Tini
Glass: Martini/ Coupe

Method:
Shake all the ingredients in a shaker with ice.
Fine-strain into the chilled martini or coupe glass.
Garnish with a passion fruit wedge or half.
Whisky Cocktails
These recipes are from Angad Singh Gandhi, India Brand Ambassador, Glenfiddich. These can be easily recreated and enjoyed at home.
4. Penicillin

Method:
Pour the ingredients into a shaker and add ice into it; shake for about 15 seconds.
Double strain the mixture into a whisky glass with ice.
Layer with a peaty whisky for an added flavour.
Garnish with ginger candy/ ginger chunk. Ready to serve.
5. Glenfiddich Highball
The Glenfiddich Highball brings together fresh pear and single malt Scotch - a surprisingly perfect pair.

Method:
Combine all ingre2dients in a Highball glass, packed with cubed ice
Garnish with lemon and pear garnish.
Ready to serve
6. Fiddich Fashioned
Decadent chocolate meets sophisticated coffee. A whole new spin to the classic Old Fashioned with Glenfiddich 12YO.

Method:
Recipe of Honey Cinnamon Syrup: Boil equal parts of honey and water and 2-3 cinnamon sticks in it on low sim and allow the flavour of cinnamon to get infused in the liquid.
Pour the whisky over ice in mixing glass and add the honey cinnamon syrup and 3 dashes of Angostura bitters.
Stir well and strain in a rock glass over ice.
Garnish with orange peel/ cinnamon stick.
