Radhika Apte recently, not only made a super chic fashion statement but also raised environmental awareness with the bag she carried. First talking about her sartorial pick, Radhika gave summer style goals in her white mini dress. She paired it with black slippers and a pair of stylish goggles. Making a strong case for environmentally-friendly fashion, she picked an upcycled handwoven creation from the brand reCharkha. In a social media post, Radhika mentioned that the bag was "made from thousands and plastic bags that could have been thrown in the ocean but instead were collected, cleaned and made into this beautiful bag". In addition to the origins of its material, it was also crafted using the traditional charkha and handloom by a community of tribal women and artisans. The Indian brand specialises in using upcycled plastic waste to create accessories.
