Sonakshi Sinha might have gone for the effortless bridal look for her wedding to Zaheer Iqbal. But the same can't be said for her recent cover story for Elle Wedding Book's first edition. She channelled every maximalist bride's dream come true with not one but multiple ornate lehengas that were larger than life.

For the first look, Sonakshi wore the quintessential red bridal lehenga with a V-neckline half-sleeve blouse adorned with silver beadwork. The kalidar lehenga from Amrin Khan was adorned with silver hand embroidery and complemented with a matching organza dupatta with a beadwork border and silver embroidery border and embellishments. She wore a maharani style gold kundan necklace and kadas to accessorise the look and styled her curled hair in a centre-parted bun with a rose planted on it.
For look two she wore a purple, orange and pink-toned lehenga with heavy zardozi work from Torani. The regal lehenga had scalloped borders. The paan-patta gold embroidery added a traditional touch. It was teamed with a purple half-sleeve blouse with a sweetheart neckline and was filled with gold embroidery. The matching chanderi dupatta added the perfect touch of colour that wasn't missing but was added anyway. Regal jewellery returned and wowed us just as much.
For look three, Sonakshi adorned a peacock-themed yellow, green and red lehenga with ornate designs on it in silver and gold dabka work from Rimple and Harpreet Narula. A structured green blouse with a plunging neckline was paired with it. The final touch of grandeur was added with a multi-coloured mesh dupatta draped by Sonakshi over her shoulders. This too was decorated with gold zari border. Sonakshi wore traditional jewellery yet again but this time with a contemporary colourful touch.
The final look featured a white lehenga filled with gold and pink embroidery, a V-neckline blouse and a pleated blush and ivory dupatta. The lehenga was filled with peacock feather-inspired traditional embroidery with gold and beadwork details on the ghera. She wore it with a half-sleeve blouse having a border. Sonakshi wore an old-gold kundan choker with pastel pink stones and matching traditional jhumkas, kadas and statement cocktail rings to complete the look.
Sonakshi Sinha's maximalist bridal avatar won hearts and fashion points on the Elle Wedding Book cover just as much as her bridal looks from her wedding in real life did.
