When we were 21, we were just about figuring our footing into adulthood, let alone kickstarting our careers and balancing our social lives along with it. But no, not for Zendaya. At 21, this Hollywood actress has starred in a number of hits like Spider-Man: Homecoming and The Greatest Showman, is the face of brands like Cover Girl and along with it all, also manages to blaze through the style charts.
At the recent BeautyCon 2018 event in New York, Zendaya made sure to make a statement, in more ways than one. For her outfit, she chose a white maxi dress from Akris with quirky colourful patterns and high side slits. Complementing it were a pair of pointed tangerine pumps peeping from the bottom of her maxi dress and large gold hoops.
Being a beauty maven who does her own makeup, of course Zendaya didn't disappoint on the face front. She opted for a glowing, summery look with bronzed cheeks and shimmery skin. With it were full brows, glossy lips and a touch of blue on the lids. Pulling it together is Zendaya's tightly pulled back hair, slickly braided into a neat plait.
Honestly now, could she look any more like a light summer breeze if she tried? I think not. From the playful print to her summery skin to that clean braid, every element comes together to create a refreshing, harmonious outfit. Interesting, summer ready and age appropriate, there's nothing we don't love about this look.

Her second statement was when she spoke up at the event about self love and colourism. She broke the ideal of just saying that you should love yourself and instead said to start treating it like a process, with the words "your number one fan should always be yourself." On Hollywood's representation of black women, she said, "I'm Hollywood's, I guess you could say, acceptable version of a black girl and that has to change. We're vastly too beautiful and too interesting for me to be the only version of that."
