Police said registering a case was a challenge as both the accused and the victim were minors.
Lucknow:
A 10-year-old boy in a Kanpur village was hospitalised with injuries in his private parts after he was allegedly sexually assaulted by a 16-year-old girl.
The minor girl allegedly took the boy to her house and tried to force him to have sex with her, during which, the boy reportedly received the injuries.
A case had not been filed yet because both - the accused and the victim - are minors, said Shalabh Mathur, the Senior Superintendent of Poilce in Kanpur.
But legal experts said a case can be lodged under sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences or POCSO Act.
