Lucknow: Five persons were killed today when an ambulance rammed a truck in Mohanlalganj area on the outskirts of Lucknow, police have said.
The incident took place this morning when the ambulance carrying four patients hit the truck while overtaking it near Phulwari turn, they said.
The patients, including the ambulance driver died on the spot, police said.
The truck driver managed to flee from the spot, they said, adding efforts are being made to arrest him.
Those killed have been identified as Subhash, Suman, Golu, Rajdev Yadav and ambulance driver Ashok, police added.
