Akhilesh Yadav gave the order following a rap from the Allahabad High Court which stopped the CEO from all work.
The Uttar Pradesh government on Monday removed the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Noida, Greater Noida and the Yamuna Expressway Authority, Rama Raman, officials said.
Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav gave the order following a rap from the Allahabad High Court which stopped the CEO from all work.
Last week, the court had taken a grim view of Mr Raman's continuance in the coveted posts for the last six years and had questioned whether the state government could not find anyone better to replace him.
Mr Raman was appointed by the Ms Mayawati government in 2010.
Principal Secretary (Power) and Chairman of the UP Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) Sanjay Agarwal has been given the charge of the three authorities for now, a state government spokesman said.
