Begusarai:
Two matriculation examinees were killed and six others injured today when an autorickshaw rammed into a speeding train at an unmanned crossing at a place under the East-Central Railway (ECR), a GRP officer said.
The mishap took place at Sishwan village when the 55224 Samastipur-Katihar passenger train rammed into an autorickshaw at the railway crossing under Bachhwara-Samastipur section of the ECR after the vehicle was stuck due to mechanical problems, the police said.
A board examinee Shaimul Nisha died on the spot, while Md. Alamgir succumbed to injuries in a hospital, he said.
Six others, comprising the autorickshaw driver, examinees and their wards sustained injuries, he said.
The bodies have been sent for post-mortem and the injured persons admitted to a hospital, the officer said.
