Cold wave in Uttar Pradesh: Death toll reaches 92
Lucknow: Three more persons, including two children, died due to severe cold conditions in Uttar
Pradesh, taking the toll in the state this winter to 92.

The three persons, including an eight-year-old boy and a six-year-old girl, died due to cold in Barabanki district in the last 24 hours, officials said here.

Cold conditions prevailed in most parts of the state and clouds hovered in many places, Meteorological department officials said.

Lucknow recorded a minimum temperature of 1.4 degrees Celsius this morning, which was six notches below normal, while Varanasi recorded a low of 2.7 degree C, six notches below normal.

Kanpur shivered at 2.2 degree C, which was six notches below normal, while the minimum temperature in Allahabad settled at 4.8 degree C, four degrees below normal.
Agra recorded a minimum of 1 degree C, which was six degrees below normal.
