Lucknow:
The drunk SUV driver, who ran over a 28-year-old man in Lucknow following an argument, was arrested today. The accused, Rajesh Tiwari, had fled from the scene after the incident on Thursday night.
Tiwari had rammed the victim's car parked outside his house in Gomti Nagar area of the city. When the man demanded money for repairs, the SUV driver reversed his car hurriedly and ran over him - not once, but twice.
The victim, identified as 28-year-old Arjun Bahadur, was rushed to a nearby hospital. He later succumbed to his injuries. Mr Bahadur worked as a driver with a private company. He is survived by his wife and three daughters - the youngest of them is six months old.
According to reports, there were two more men in the SUV. They too were allegedly drunk.
