Lucknow:
Eight members of an inter-state auto-lifters' gang were arrested by the police on a tip off from the city, police said today.
The accused were arrested on Monday from Hazratganj area by Special Operations Group, they said.
The accused arrested have been identified as Sunil Chaurasia, Manoj Gupta, Mujahid Husain Ansari, Darshan, Arun Sharma, Feroz, Ajay Kumar and Naveen Maurya of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, they said.
During interrogation, the gang confessed that after lifting vehicles they used to sell them in neighbouring Nepal and other states like Bihar and Andhra Pradesh, they said.
The police also recovered a stolen SUV from them.
