Lucknow student shot dead over parking fees

Lucknow: An undergraduate student was shot dead over a dispute related to parking fees in Bakshi ka Talab area, police said today.

Prashant Singh alias Golu (22), a second year student of Mumtaz Degree College, was allegedly shot at near Itaunja railway station last evening by Brijesh Singh over payment of parking fees, they said.

Golu was rushed to the trauma centre where doctors declared him brought dead, police said, adding that Brijesh and his nephew Sunit Sigh, who is an employee at the parking stand had been arrested.

The victim had a dispute with Brijesh and Sunit five days back allegedly over excess charging of parking fees.
