Lucknow:
Civil Aviation Minister Ajit Singh will on Saturday inaugurate the new passenger terminal complex at Chaudhary Charan Singh Airport in Lucknow.
Built on an area of 20,000 square metres, the new terminal is an integrated terminal and will handle domestic as well as international operations, chairman of Airport authority of India V P Agarwal told reporters in Lucknow.
He said the government has decided to develop 35 airports across the country of which two are in Uttar Pradesh's Lucknow and Varanasi cities.
While Varanasi airport has been made operational, Lucknow terminal is also complete and will be made operational from the first week of June.
Governor B L Joshi will be the chief guest of the tomorrow's inaugural function to be presided over by Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav.
