Lucknow:
Five persons were arrested during raids conducted by Food and Drug Administration to check the sale of spurious and fake medicines in Uttar Pradesh, officials said today.
Raids were carried out in eight districts to check the sale of spurious medicines, they said, adding, FIRs have been lodged against 10 people, of which five have been arrested.
The districts where raids were carried out included Agra, Aligarh, Lucknow, Muzaffarnagar, Kanpur, Ghaziabad, Varanasi and Gorakhpur.
