Lucknow:
An electrician and a peon, both employees of a central government enterprise, were found dead at their office in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh Police said on Monday.
The bodies of electrician Dev Narayan Singh and peon Vansh Raj Yadav were recovered from the Mahanagar office of public sector Instrumentation Limited on Monday. They died at least two days ago, a police officer said.
Inspector KD Mishra said both the employees were repeatedly hit by a blunt object on their face and had been stabbed by a sharp-edged weapon, leading to their death.
Singh had come on an official tour from the Obra Power station. An Instrumentation Limited official, A.K. Singh told IANS that he had met Singh on Saturday afternoon.
All officials and employees in the office left thereafter and only peons Vansh Raj Yadav and Kripa Shankar remained in the office along with the electrician.
On Monday another peon Pawan reached the office at 9 am and found the office locked from inside. He informed his seniors about it. Officials broke open the door and found the bodies of the two employees lying in a pool of blood.
