Lucknow: A youth was beaten to death allegedly by private security guards and his body was later thrown on the railway track at Alam Nagar railway station here, police said today.
Pradeep alias Guddu (25) was allegedly beaten to death by the security guards of a cement unit near the railway station, following an altercation on Monday night, they said.
Police said that the security guards later threw Pradeep's body on the railway track to conceal the crime, which came to light yesterday.
An FIR had been lodged against three persons in this connection, they said, adding that Pradeep was the son of a Class IV railway employee.
