Youth beaten to death in cricket match row

Lucknow: A youth was allegedly beaten to death in a row over a cricket match in Sultanpur district, said the police.

Ajit Kumar was playing cricket on the grounds of Katghara Mutarwahi Primary School on Sunday, when he had an altercation with the rival team members and then they hit him on his head, according to the police.

Kumar, seriously injured, was rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. A case in this regard has been registered against the four boys, it said.

No arrests have been made so far in this connection.
