Ludhiana: Three persons were killed in a fire that broke out in a textile unit at Rahon Road in Ludhiana early this morning, police said.
Eleven fire tenders of the Ludhiana Municipal Corporation took more than six hours to control the flames, they said.
"The three bodies found inside the factory were charred beyond identification. They are believed to be that of labourers of the factory who stayed there during the night time," Ludhiana DCP, Dhurman Nimbale said after visiting the spot.
The reason behind the fire was yet to be ascertained, a MC fire officer said.
