Accident in Ludhiana claims life of three

Moga: Three persons have died and as many others injured in an accident here on Moga-Ludhiana road at Mehna village, police said on Saturday.

The incident occurred last evening near Mehna police station when the car, on its way to Moga from Patiala, carrying six members of a family collided with a truck, they said.

The injured were immediately rushed to a hospital, police said, adding, that while ten-year-old Rajeshwar died on the spot, his mother Rekha Rani and the car driver Vikas succumbed to their injuries in Ludhiana hospital last night.

The truck driver managed to escape from the site, they said.
