Ludhiana:
A Punjab Police head constable was killed and five others were injured, one of them critically, today when their jeep collided head on with a Moga-bound bus near Nanaksar, 35 kms from Ludhiana, police said.
The mishap took place on Ludhiana-Ferozepur road when the victims, all members of a SIT team, were on their way to Chandigarh in connection with the enquiry of an alleged fraud case of rice sellers, Moga SSP Surjit Singh Grewal said.
The head constable Gurmit Singh died on the spot whereas the injured police officials were admitted to the Dayanand Hospital and Moga Hospital respectively, he said.
