Meerut: Two people were killed and two others injured after a fight allegedly broke out between a group of customers and employees of a fast-food joint over a difference of Rs 40 in a bill in Meerut's TP Nagar, police said today.

Three persons - Nitin Sethi, Satte and Amar - were arguing with the restaurant operator Rajat over a difference of Rs 40 in their bill after which a fight broke out between them on Friday, a police spokesperson said.

One of the employees hit Mr Sethi with a heavy utensil leading to blood gushing out of his head, he said.

While Satte and Amar fled from the spot, Mr Sethi called his brother Sachin who reached the spot with his accomplices - Monu, Rahul and Sumit - and began fighting with Rajat and his employees, he said.
