Meerut:
A 22-year-old student was injured at Incholi district in Meerut after a man allegedly threw acid on her face.
According to police, the incident took place near Ganganagar area last evening when the girl, daughter of a retired army officer, was returning home from her computer classes. The accused threw acid on the girl's face and fled the spot.
The victim, an MBA student, was rushed to a hospital immediately. She has sustained injuries on her neck, face and hand, police said.
According to police, prima facie it appears to be a case of one sided affair.
The parents of the victim have accused a man named Prince Kapuriya of Jammu in their complaint, police said. They told police that the accused had a relationship with the victim three years ago when the family lived in Jammu.
A case has been registered against the youth and a search is on to arrest him, they said.
