Meerut:
Police on Thursday claimed to have solved the murder case of a Delhi Police head constable killed in the district on May 15 with the arrest of two persons.
Acting on a tip off, the police team after an encounter arrested Abhishek Gupta and Arun from the Khirwa road area under Kankarkheda police station, Senior Superintendent of Police K Satyanarayan said.
A pistol, 315 bore country made pistol, car and mobile phone was recovered from their possession, he said adding, "Two more persons involved in the crime are still absconding and efforts are being made to arrest them at the earliest."
In an apparent road rage case, Delhi Police Head Constable Sanjeev was shot dead and Constable Sachin suffered bullet injuries on May 15 evening when unidentified men opened fire at them near Gang Nahar on Meerut bypass.
