Meerut, Uttar Pradesh: A 12-year-old boy was killed and a 4-year-old critically injured in two separate incidents of accidental firing in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh police said today.
Arpit (12), a resident of the posh Ganga Sagar Residential colony in Meerut, was playing with his sister in his room yesterday when he accidentally triggered his father's licensed revolver kept on the bed, they said.
He was rushed to a nearby nursing home where he was declared dead.
Meanwhile, in another incidence, 4-year-old Krishna from Ikadi Village is in critical condition after being accidentally shot by his father during marriage ceremony celebrations, police said.
A case has been registered against the father, they said.
