Mumbai: A 12-year-old girl was allegedly raped by an ayurvedic chemist at his residence in suburban Bandra, police said on Monday.
Accused Mohammed Tahir Ansari (48) has been arrested.
The accused called the minor to his home in Darga galli slum on the pretext of some work and sexually abused her after giving her some medicine, police said.
The victim, who stays with her aunt, told her about the incident on Monday following which an FIR was registered, police said, adding further probe is still on.
