Three people of a family, including two children, were allegedly stabbed to death in the New Collector Colony of suburban Malad in Mumbai early on Thursday.
Those killed have been identified as Babli Shaw, 47, Aryan Ismail Shaikh, 13, and Sania Ismail Shaikh, 8, police said.
The motive behind the murders as well as the identity of the assailant is not yet known, senior police officer Ashok Dudhe said.
